The Leofoto AM-7 Kestrel Mount Kit is designed to position a wind meter away from the main tripod-mounted optic during shooting and observation. The long articulated arm allows a Kestrel to be placed above even large spotting scopes, helping prevent the scope from interfering with the airflow reaching the wind meter.
The AM-7 Magic Arm provides flexible positioning with a locking 3/8"-16 mount at one end and a 1/4"-20 mount at the other. One end can rotate through 360° and tilt through 90°, while the opposite end also provides 90° of tilt, making it easy to position the wind meter where it can be seen and exposed to clean airflow.
The included MC-60 clamp attaches securely to tripod legs, poles and tubes up to approximately 56 mm in diameter. At the opposite end, the GMC-01 clamp provides a 30–70 mm clamping range for securing the wind meter.
Fully extended, the complete setup measures approximately 650 mm and folds to 360 mm for transport. The complete kit weighs 760 g and has a manufacturer-rated load of 5 kg.
